Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana Calculator helps you to calculate the maturity amount you can get by investing in the scheme.

The calculator will consider your investment amount, the tenure of the scheme and the interest rate to calculate what amount you will get when the scheme matures. You can adjust the investment amount accordingly so that you get the highest return to meet your girl child’s educational needs or any other future needs.

Highlights of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana

  • The scheme was launched in 2015 as part of the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign.
  • This programme allows parents or legal guardians to open a savings account for their girl child at an approved commercial bank or India Post branch.
  • The interest rate for the current quarter (April 2020 to June 2020) is 7.6 % compounded annually.
  • Since the programme is backed by the government, the returns are expected to be guaranteed.
  • The account can be opened in the name of a girl child, who is under the age of 10, and shall mature when she turns 21 or at the time of her marriage, whichever is earlier.

How to calculate interest and maturity amount on Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana?

The interest in your Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is compounded annually. We should use the formula for Compound Interest, which is

Where,

P - Principal Amount
