Debit cards and credit cards have been transitioning the economy for over past 2 decades. Debit cards are provided as part of the opening kit when the investor opens a savings or current account. Debit cards enable the cardholder to access the funds in the account from ATM. It also enables the cardholder to conduct cashless transactions both online and offline. Debit cards are issued by banks, typically in association with Visa or Mastercard. These cards can be used for online payments of utility bills, e-shopping etc.

Debit card is also called the plastic card, it is issued by the bank when the customer opens a savings or current account. The following activities can be conducted using the debit card –

Below are the key features of Union Bank of India debit card –
Debit card is automatically issued by the bank on opening a savings account with them. The account can be applied online or by visiting a nearby branch. The existing customer can upgrade his debit card by placing a request online or through mobile application. Alternatively, one can call the customer care to place a request for issuance of new debit card.
The debit cards issued by Union Bank of India are enabled with Green PIN. This provides the unique four digit number which is held confidential under all circumstances. There is no requirement for request to be placed with the customer care for PIN generation. It can be done at any of the bank’s ATM by the client. The steps for PIN generation are as below –
