A debit card is very similar to a credit card as it allows an individual to make secure and easy purchases online and in person. But unlike a credit card, a debit card draws money directly from one’s account. So, it is not credit but it is one’s own money that is utilized. It can also be used to withdraw money from ATMs when required. The problems of carrying money in hand, waiting at long payment queues and the risk of robbery are all done away, with the advent of the debit card. A debit card is also known as plastic money. Debit cards have many more features such as cashbacks, discounts, partner tie-ups, airport lounge access, reward points and so on.
