Verification of Labour Identification Number (LIN)

  • First step for such verification and modification is registration of the entity or the employer at the Shram Suvidha Portal.
  • After registration, the user will have to search their LIN at the portal if it already exists. This can be done through the ‘Know Your LON option’ available at the portal.
  • If the LIN already exists, such Lin has to be linked to the establishment by choosing the ‘Link Establishment’ option.
  • If the LIN is not already available on the portal, the user can create owned or represented organizations and then request for the LIN through the ‘Establishment’ option available in the menu of the portal after signing in.

Filing Annual Returns using Shram Suvidha Portal

Shram Suvidha Portal allows the user to file a single online return under many labour laws. This portal allows the annual return of the employees to be filed through the portal as well. This facility requires the users to meet certain pre-conditions to be eligible to submit the annual returns.

These pre-conditions are mentioned below.

  • The first and foremost condition is that the employer or the establishment representative has to be registered at the Shram Suvidha Portal to be able to file the online return.
  • The establishment representative should have a verified LIN to proceed further. 
  • An establishment can search the LIN through the ‘Know your LIN’ option on the main page of the Portal under the link Home>> Know Your LIN
  • If the LIN already exists, the user has to link the LIN to the establishment which can be done by selecting the ‘Link Establishment’ option.
  • This option is available after logging into the portal on the left side of the main page
  • In case no LIN is available, the user must create owned or represented establishments and request LIN from them the ‘Establishment’ option that is available at the left side of the menu after logging in.
  • Shram Suvidha Portal allows the establishment representatives to file annual returns only relating to the Central Government Acts.
