SBI has a few Mobile Banking apps to allow different banking services to the customers. The primary mobile banking app of SBI, for retail banking customers, is YONO – SBI. There are other apps like SBI Quick, SBI Anywhere – Corporate, SBI Finder, SBI Pay, Secure OTP & YONO SBI Lite.

The SBI YONO App is the primary banking app for Retail customers. YONO stands for You Only Need One! This app comes with a host of banking services to give customers all-round banking experience.

The foremost advantage of Mobile Banking is Accessibility. Mobile Banking allows customers to conduct various banking services from anywhere in the world at any time. You just need a smartphone & internet for Mobile Banking. Let us have a better look at the advantages of mobile banking.

  • Banking; Any Time & Anywhere: With an internet-enabled smartphone in your hand, you have your bank at your fingertips. Mobile banking is as full-fledged as internet banking. It offers almost all the banking services one can access through Netbanking. Moreover, you don’t need a laptop or a desktop to access mobile banking. Your smartphone will suffice. What more? You can access your bank anytime, anywhere in the world.

Customers are also offered exclusive discounts for their shopping, vacation bookings, flight and bus ticket bookings, train ticket bookings through IRCTC, food delivery, and much more.
  • One view – Allows you to link and view all your relationships with all State Bank entities (Credit Cards, Life Insurance, General Insurance, Travel Insurance, Accident Insurance, SIP, Mutual Funds, or investments) under a single app.
  • Experience convenience: Customers can now request Cheque Books, ATM Cards/Debit Cards or use the emergency services to change ATM PIN, block ATM cards/Debit cards or stop cheques, through YONO SBI
  • Smart spending – This feature on the app gives you an overview of your expenditure based on the Intelligent Spend Analysis, which automatically tags and categorises your transactions

How to register for YONO SBI App?

The previous SBI Mobile Banking app was called ‘SBI Anywhere’. It was gradually replaced by the SBI YONO App. You can also use your Internet Banking credentials to register on the YONO App and start using it. If you do not have internet banking credentials, you can generate temporary internet banking password using your debit card, and register using the same.

YONO SBI Registration Process: 

  • Existing SBI Anywhere/INB users should perform one-time activation in SBI Anywhere Personal app with their existing SBI Anywhere/INB credentials.
  • Existing Freedom users can register for SBI Anywhere Personal and Internet Banking using Freedom’s user-ID and MPIN.
  • Registration of new users for SBI Anywhere/INB can be done using Debit Card details through the 'New User' option.

Who are eligible to register for the SBI YONO App?

Existing customers of SBI Bank Savings account and Current account are eligible to register and user SBI YONO Mobile banking app.

SBI Mobile Banking FAQs:

1. Are there any charges to use the SBI YONO App?

No, there are no charges to use the SBI YONO Mobile Banking App. It is available in two languages: Hindi and English. Customers can perform various financial & non-financial banking activities such as fund transfer, bill payments, check account balance, view account statement, mpassbook, block debit card and many more. However, fund transfers and bill payments may attract charges & GST as per Govt. norms.

2. Is there a limit on fund transfers using the SBI YONO App?

Fund transfer limits depend on the type of fund transfer you choose. For example, up to Rs.10,00,000 can be transferred using NEFT and RTGS (for interbank transfers). If you use the 'Quick Transfer Facility' then per transaction limit is Rs. 10,000 and the daily limit is Rs. 25,000. Similarly, UPI transfer daily limit is Rs.1,00,000, and transfer within self-account limit is Rs. 2 crores per day.

3. Can I pay the bill for my credit card from a different bank using the YONO SBI App?

Yes, you can pay credit card bills of any bank using the app. You need to register your credit card account as one of the billers on the app to make bill payments. You can even set standing instructions for auto-debit.

4. Can I apply for a home loan through the SBI YONO App?

Yes, you can apply for home loans using the app.

5. My latest transaction is not showing up on the app. What do I do?

Transactions are updated on the app in live time. However, it could take up to 48hrs for a transaction to reflect under the Transaction History tab.
