SBI has not announced any specific monthly withdrawal limit through ATMs. However, the daily withdrawal limit has to be followed for free withdrawals. If this limit is exceeded, you will be charged Rs. 20 plus GST. Also, the charges levied on you for withdrawing from another bank’s transaction is Rs. 20 plus GST.
For withdrawals below Rs. 10,000, SBI does not send an OTP. However, if you are taking out more money than Rs. 10,000, you have to enter an OTP that will be sent to your registered mobile number. This process was implemented by SBI to make the withdrawals more secure. You can withdraw the money once you enter the correct OTP.
For security reasons, SBI sends an OTP to your registered mobile number if you are withdrawing cash above the limit of Rs. 10,000. You have to enter the OTP to verify your identity. This OTP is valid for withdrawal from ATMs till the maximum limit of your debit card.
The one-time ATM withdrawal limit for SBI ranges from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,00,000, and you cannot exceed this threshold. However, you can modify the daily transaction limit through the SBI YONO mobile application. This withdrawal limit also applies to ATMs of non-SBI banks. The withdrawal limit is the same for non-SBI Bank ATMs. But, if you exceed the threshold limit set by the bank, you will have to pay a penalty to withdraw money. The maximum number of free transactions at non-SBI Bank ATMs is 5. Additionally, for every transaction, you will have to pay Rs. 20 plus GST additionally for every transaction.
