What Are The Documents I Need To Submit To Get A FASTag?

Customers are required to submit the original as well as photocopies of the following documents to register for FASTag:

  • Registration Certificate (RC) of the vehicle.
  • Passport size photograph of the vehicle owner
  • KYC documents as per the category of the vehicle owner:

Individuals

  • ID proof and Address proof from the list mentioned, and 1 passport size photograph
  • PAN Card
  • A valid driving license

Corporate

  • Public Ltd./ Private Ltd./ Partnership Proprietorship
  • Certificate of Incorporation/ Partnership Deed/Registration certificate of the firm PAN Card of Proprietor
  • PAN Card of the corporate Address Proof of the Proprietor
  • Photo ID of signing authority Shop Act or other Firm Proof
  • List of Directors with addresses/Name and addresses of Partners

Customers have to submit the duly filled application form along with these documents. Please note that all relevant documents for FASTag should be in the name of the owner of the vehicle. If the car owner is not present at the time of application, the driver will need to submit his photo ID proof.

How do I recharge my Kotak Mahindra Bank FASTag?

Once your registration has been successfully completed, the bank will send you a User ID & Password via SMS & email. You can use these credentials and log in to your virtual account through the customer portal. Users can also use the ‘Generate OTP’ option by entering their mobile number in the User ID field.

Upon logging in to their FASTag e-wallet account, customers can recharge their wallet using a credit card, debit card, Netbanking and other digital payments. Users can also recharge their FASTag wallet through their UPI apps.

What Are The Fees & Charges Associated With FASTag?

FASTag has different tag charges based on the type of vehicle. However, Kotak Mahindra Bank is currently not charging any Tag Joining Fee.

Points to remember: 

  • Applicable GST shall be added to the aforementioned charges
  • Convenience fee is applicable for online recharges
  • Threshold amount is the minimum recharge amount to be done at the time of tag activation
  • Refundable Tag Deposit would be refunded only to KYC customers at the time of FASTag account closure.
  • Toll amount will be deducted as per the applicable amount, depending on the vehicle class and the toll plaza.

4. Is there a dedicated lane at the toll plaza for FASTag vehicles?

Yes, there are separate lanes demarcated for FASTag users to allow for quick movement of vehicles.

5. How do I report an incorrect deduction on my FASTag?

You can report any incorrect deduction to the Kotak Mahindra Bank Customer Care Helpline number mentioned on the FASTag. FASTag team will investigate the matter and if found correct, will reverse the incorrect deduction to the account

6. What do I do in case of a lost/ damaged RFID Tag? What will happen to the account balance?

In case you have lost or damaged your FASTag, you need to call the Kotak Mahindra FASTag customer care. A new tag will be issued. It will be linked to your old tag account and the relevant balance amount will be transferred to the new tag.
