A 4-digit IndusInd credit card PIN is required to carry out IndusInd credit card transactions at POS terminals and for cash withdrawals at ATMs. This PIN should be kept confidential for reasons of security.
Whenever you use your credit card for a transaction, you must enter your PIN to authenticate it. The system is automated in such a way that the moment you key in your PIN, it is matched with your user ID to enable the transaction. In this way, banks make sure that every transaction made using your credit card is validated by you and the banks themselves only. Nobody else will have access to it. This is the reason why you should not share your credit card PIN with anyone not even bank officials.
