As mentioned above, Axis Bank has many ways to link one’s bank account to their PAN Cards. These methods involve online mode as well as offline mode.
Online Mode
Customer can access two ways under online mode of linking the bank account to their PAN Cards. These modes are,
- Customers will foremost need a net banking account to get access to the internet banking portal of the bank for linking their PAN Cards.
- Customers can login to their net banking account with help of the user id and password generated at the time of opening the net banking account.
- After logging in to their accounts, the user will have to click on ‘Services’
- Following this, the customer will have to click on ‘Insta Services’ to proceed.
- The next step is to enter the code that the user will receive through a SMS.
- The user will then be taken to a new page where he/she will have to select ‘Profile’ and then “Update PAN’.
- Here, the customer will have to enter the PAN Card Number and other relevant details correctly and after verifying the same will have to click on ‘Update’.
- The PAN Card will be linked to the Axis Bank account and the customer/account holder will receive intimation for the same via SMS or email.
This is another mode of linking the PAN Card to the Axis Bank account of the account holder through online banking facility. Under this method, the customer will have to first download the Axis Mobile App and register for the same to proceed any further.
- After logging in to the mobile banking account, the user will have to select ‘Service and Support’ section on the app home page
- Following this, select the ‘Insta Services’ section.
- In the above section, the user will have to select ‘Profile’ to proceed with the PAN updation or linking process.
- Next step is to select ‘Update PAN’ and fill in the PAN and other details in the section provided for the same.
- The user will also have to check on the box accepting the terms and conditions for the same.
- After verifying all the details filled in, the user will then have to click on ‘Update’.
- In this case as well the user will be notified of the successful PAN updation or linking to the Bank account via SMS or email as requested by the user.
Customers can also update their PAN Card by simply sending an SMS from their registered mobile number as well. The SMS has to be sent in the following format
PAN Customer ID
Such SMS in the above format has to be sent to 5676782.
Offline mode
Offline mode to link the Pan Card to the Axis Bank account of the user is by physically visiting the branch of the bank and getting the PAN card linked by filling a form there.
In case the customer is an entity (non-individual), the PAN updation or linking process can be done only via offline mode.
- Customers will have to visit the nearest branch of the bank to start with the process.
- At the branch, the customer will have to ask for a ‘Customer Request Form’.
- In this form, the customer will have to fill in all the required details like PAN Number, address, Name as per PAN records, etc.
- After filling in all the necessary details, the customer will have to submit the form to the bank official along with a copy PAN Card and Address Proof.
- The bank official will verify all the relevant details and process the application.
- The PAN will be updated within 2 working days and the customer will receive a notification for the same at the registered email id.
