How To Link Aadhaar Card To Mutual Fund

There are four ways of linking Aadhaar number with Mutual Fund Account. These are:

Offline Method

In this method, one can link Aadhaar Card with Mutual Fund Account with the help of Mutual Fund house.

• One can procure the Aadhaar linking from the Fund Manager.
• Fill in the details and attached a self-attested copy of the Aadhaar card.
• Submit the form to the Fund Manager for further processing.
• A confirmation message will be received once the linking is complete.

SMS

This method of linking Aadhaar Card with Mutual Fund Account is very simple and easy. The following steps can be used:

• Send “ADRLNK” space PAN space Aadhaar Number space Y through your mobile phone.
• This message needs to be sent to +91 9212993399 which is registered with Karvy.
• Once the link is done, a confirmation message is received back.

Email

One can send an email requesting to link Aadhaar Card with Mutual Fund Account to your AMC who will do the needful. PAN Number also needs to be sent with this detail. It is important to note here that your email needs to be linked to the Mutual Fund account before doing this. An email confirmation will be received upon successful completion of the linkage.

Online

There are multiple ways of linking Aadhaar Card with Mutual Funds Account through the online method.

Computer Age Management Services (CAMS) Portal helps you in linking Aadhaar Card with Mutual Funds Account. This portal acts like a middleman between the Mutual Fund Account Holder and Mutual Fund Companies. The steps to complete this process are:

• Go to Aadhaar Linking Portal of CAMS
• Select the option applicable to you – Individual, HUF or Non-Individual
• Enter PAN Detail
• Press Submit
• Enter Aadhaar Number, Name, Date of Birth, Gender and Mobile Number in the next screen.
• Click “Generate OTP” to receive the OTP on your registered mobile number with the mutual fund house
• Enter the OTP and check the disclaimer box to press “Submit”
• The request to link Aadhaar Card with your Mutual Fund Account will be submitted. Upon successful linking, the PAN number will also be associated with this account.

Linking of Aadhaar Card with Mutual Funds can be done through KARVY if they are the registrar for your mutual funds. The following steps are applicable to for the linking process:

• Go to the official website of KARVY
• Click on “Link your Aadhaar” tab
• Enter PAN Details and Click on “Generate OTP”. Your mobile number should be registered with the mutual fund house before doing this.
• OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number
• Enter OTP and select the mutual fund scheme that needs to be linked with Aadhaar Card.
• Enter the Aadhaar Number in the box given and press “Submit”.
• Once the linking process is completed, a confirmation message will be received from KARVY.

If you hold Mutual Fund account through Franklin Templeton, the linking can be done through Franklin Templeton. It cannot be done through any other website. The steps to complete the linking process are:

• Go to the official website of Franklin Templeton.
• Click on “Customer Service” tab.
• Under this, click on “Instant Services” tab and select “Update Aadhaar Number”.
• Enter PAN on the next page.
• Enter details of the selected option in the next page from Date of Birth, Pin code or Last Transaction Amount.
• Upon pressing Next, the bank account number needs to be entered.
• On the next page, Aadhaar number needs to be entered and click “Submit”.
• Once the process is successfully completed, a confirmation message will be sent to the Account Holder.

Linking of Aadhaar Card with Mutual Fund Accounts through CAMS and KARVY can be done only for the following Mutual Fund Houses.
