Introduction to the Fund
Established under the Indian Trust Act (1982) when Mutual Funds first emerged as a financial product in the year 1996, Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund is among the earliest mutual funds in India. The fund is owned by Templeton Worldwide and sponsored by Templeton International Inc. The company provides a range of investment instruments and financial products not only in India but also around the globe.

On the official website, the application form along with other documents such as Scheme Information Document (SID) are available for download.
You will need the following documents to make an investment in Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund –
1. Application for duly filled and signed
2. Proof of identity such as PAN, Aadhar, Driving license, or passport
3. Proof of address such as Aadhar, ration card, passport, utility bills, rent agreement or property ownership papers.

1. I have opened an online account. How long will my password be valid?
Your login password is valid for a period of 180 working days. After this period, you will receive a message requesting you to change your password. The message is flashed at the time of login attempt.
2. How do I transact online?
Log into the Franklin Templeton website using your user name and password then hit “My Transaction”. Select the type of transaction and proceed as directed.
3. I am relocating and want to update my address; can I do this online?
For security reasons address or bank details cannot be changed through the website. You must submit a written request along with supporting documents to the OPA or fund manager.
4. Are there any charges that are applicable for transacting via SMS?
Franklin Templeton does not charge for SMS transactions. However, the investor’s telecom service provider may apply a charge as applicable to the plan selected.
