Credit score is a three-digit number that represents your creditworthiness. It is generated by credit bureaus namely CIBIL™, Equifax, Experian and HighMark. CIBIL™ is one of the credit bureaus that generates credit score. As the credit score is derived from CIBIL™, it is called CIBIL™ score.
One must also be aware that the credit score derived from CIBIL™ might be different the one obtained from other bureaus and each lender may not prefer the same bureau to evaluate your creditworthiness. Hence, it is important to bear in mind the differences in the credit score and methodologies of each bureau in computing the score.
