For New Customers: Opening a Digital Savings Account
India Post Payments Bank has temporarily halted the opening of new digital bank accounts through all channels effective from May 18, 2023.
Note: Existing account holders will remain unaffected and can continue to access all current services without interruption.
For Existing Customers: Registering for Mobile Banking
To enjoy IPPB’s mobile banking features, link your registered mobile number with your IPPB account, which you opened at a Post Office or through a Postman/GDS at your doorstep. Here’s how:
- Download the App: Install the IPPB app from the Google Play Store on your Android phone.
- Enter Your Details: Input the following information:
- Account number
- Customer ID (CIF) and Date of Birth
- Registered mobile number
- Receive OTP: An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Set Your MPIN: Choose and set your Mobile Banking PIN (MPIN).
- Enter the OTP: Validate the process by entering the OTP you received.
Features of IPPB Mobile Banking
- Account Balance Inquiry: Check your account balance anytime.
- Account Statement: Request and view your account statements.
- Fund Transfers: Transfer money within IPPB or to other bank accounts.
- Bill Payments: Pay utility bills like water, electricity, and more.
- Recharges: Top up prepaid and DTH (Direct-to-Home) services.
- Post Office Savings Schemes: Make payments towards eligible schemes.
- UPI Transactions: Send and receive money via BHIM UPI.
- Fund Management: Use Sweep-in and Sweep-out facilities with your linked POSA (Post Office Savings Account).
