Your UPI PIN is an important credential when it comes to making payments from Google Pay. You need to enter it to validate the transactions that you make. When you add a bank account to Google Pay, you will be asked to set this PIN. In case you already have set a PIN for your bank account, you can also use the same for GPay.

If you have already set your UPI PIN and want to change it, below are the simple steps that you can follow to do so.

How to Change UPI PIN in Google Pay (Both Android and iOS)

  • Launch the Google Pay app.

  • In the top right corner, there’s your profile picture. Click on it.

  • Look for "Bank account" and tap on it.

  • Select the specific bank account where you want to change the UPI PIN.

  • Find "More" and tap on it, followed by "Change UPI PIN".

  • Now, create a new and secure UPI PIN.

  • To confirm, enter the new UPI PIN again.

Remember: If you enter the wrong UPI PIN more than 3 times, you'll either need to wait 24 hours before you can try again or reset your PIN to make transactions immediately.

How to Reset your UPI PIN on Google Pay

  1. Open the Google Pay app.

  2. Locate your profile picture in the top right corner and tap on it.

  3. Select "Bank account".

  4. Pick the bank account for which you'd like to reset your UPI PIN.

  5. Tap on "Forgot UPI PIN".

  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your PIN using your debit card or Aadhaar card.

Important: You'll need your debit card or Aadhaar card details to complete this process.

Remember: Entering the wrong UPI PIN more than 3 times will lock you out of transactions for 24 hours. To regain access sooner, you'll need to reset your UPI PIN.
