Adding a debit or credit card to your Paytm is simple. Follow the procedure given below

  • If you are a Paytm user, log in to your Paytm App. You can log in to your Paytm account in the computer browser also. Scan the QR code appearing on the browser with your Paytm Mobile Application.

  • You can find your profile in the top left corner of the main screen.

  • You can find “PAYMENT SETTINGS” in the sidebar.

  • Click on “SAVED CARDS”.

  • Your cards that are already saved will appear on top.

  • Click on “ADD NEW CARD” for adding your new debit card or credit card. You can use Visa, Master, Rupay, Amex, and Diner cards in Paytm.

  • You will get a notification that Rs 1 will be debited from your card to verify your card details. The same will be refunded in the next 48 hours to your bank account. Click on “PROCEED”.

  • The subsequent screen will ask you for details like card number, expiry, and CVV number. Ensure to tick mark the “SAVE THIS CARD FOR FUTURE PAYMENTS”.

  • Your new card will be added on successful validation of the details and test debit transaction of Rs 2 from the card.

  • The process is the same for adding both debit and credit cards.

  • Adding your debit card or credit card to the Paytm app can save you time as you don’t need to enter the details manually every time you make a payment except that the CVV number of your card alone must be entered. Do not worry about the safety of your precious data as the Paytm application is strongly encrypted.
