For Customers
If you’re a customer, using the Razorpay payment gateway to pay for an online transaction, then you don’t have to do anything to check the status of the Razorpay payment. You will automatically receive an email verifying the success of the transaction from Razorpay. Note that Razorpay is a payment gateway and only facilitates the process of payment. To get further details of your order, you can contact the merchant.
For Merchants
Now if you are a merchant using the Razorpay platform then there are a few steps you need to follow to get the transaction details.

To check the status of a payment made to your merchant account, the first step is to log in to the Razorpay dashboard.

Next, select Transactions ---> Payments.

Each payment has a unique payment Id using which you can get its current status. Click the payment Id of the payment, for which you want to check the status.

The possible payment states are:

Failed - It indicates an unsuccessful payment and the customer has to initiate the payment again.

Created - This is when the customer fills his/her payment details and the information is sent to Razorpay. The payment is not yet processed during this stage.

Authorised - When the payment status is authorised, it indicates that the money is deducted from the customer’s account. Note that the funds are not yet transferred to the merchant’s account. To enable the transfer to the merchant’s account, the merchant has to change the payment status to capture, either automatically or manually.

Captured - If the payment status is Captured, then it indicates that the payment is verified by Razorpay. The amount is usually settled in the merchant’s bank account as per the payment schedule.

Refunded - If the payment status is refunded, then it indicates that the amount is refunded back to the customer’s account.
