What are the benefits of FASTag?

• One tag for country wide use: FASTag is presently operational at 400+ toll plazas across national highways. The system is interoperable and the same FASTag can be used across all toll plazas under the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) program. Planning is underway to include more toll plazas under the ambit of FASTag.
• Avoid long queues at the Toll Plaza: When your vehicle approaches the toll plaza, the tag reader installed in the toll gates reads your FASTag and automatically deducts the corresponding toll charges from your tag wallet. This greatly reduces the waiting time in every toll plaza.

• SMS alerts for each toll transaction: Users get instant SMS notification for every toll plaza transaction carried out on their tag account. This enables the user to keep a tab on their account balance.
• Easy recharge options: Users can conveniently recharge their tag account online or at any of the POS points at toll plazas. They can use a credit card, debit card, Netbanking or UPI apps to recharge their account.
• Online portal for tag holders: FASTag users can create an account on the online portal to manage their tag account without any hassles. They can check various things like tag balance, transactions and account information on this online portal.

How do I register for Fino Payments Bank FASTag?

Customers can conveniently register for FASTag through the Fino BPay App, the official Fino Payments Bank website or at any of the Fino POS Locations.

Customers are required to fill in their Name, Contact Number, Address and Type of vehicle. A shortcode will be generated. This code needs to be given to the bank’s representative along with a copy of your vehicle registration certificate.

New customers are required to open a wallet account; hence they need to submit their KYC documents too (e.g. PAN / Aadhaar / Driving license / Passport / Voter ID Card or any Government-issued photo ID cards).

The bank’s representative will do the required checks and affix the issued FASTag on the vehicle’s windshield. Any representative of the vehicle owner can provide the above documentation and information and purchase the FASTag.

How do I recharge my Fino FASTag wallet?

You can recharge your Fino FASTag wallet account through your BPay App or by paying cash at identified Fino & BPCL Branches / Merchant Locations. Customers can recharge their BPay wallet account using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ or Net Banking.

Fees & Charges associated with Fino FASTag

Please note:

• GST applicable from time to time will be levied on the aforementioned charges
• Threshold amount is the minimum recharge amount to be done at the time of tag activation.
• The above mentioned tag deposit rates are applicable as per your vehicle class and will be refunded in your wallet account at the time of FASTag account closure.
• The applicable toll amount will be calculated and deducted depending on the vehicle class and the plaza used.

About Fino Payments Bank FASTag

FASTags were introduced with the sole objective of easing congestion at toll plazas. The aim was to reduce the cost of fuel and long waiting time at toll plazas by enabling electronic toll payments. National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) Program governed by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) introduced FASTags enabling seamless movement of vehicles through toll plazas on most National Highways across the country.

FASTag uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to provide contact-less toll collection system at all National Toll Plazas. With an active FASTag affixed on your vehicle’s windscreen, you can cruise through toll plazas without stopping for cash transactions. These FASTags can be pre-loaded with money and used to pay for your vehicle toll payments electronically. When the vehicle passes through the toll gate, the RFID reader at the toll plaza receives information about the vehicle and the toll amount is deducted automatically from the FASTag wallet, thus saving valuable time & money for the users.
