Investing in Edelweiss Mutual Funds is a simple process. You can visit their website and register before filling in the application form or you can contact a relationship manager from Edelweiss.
You will be required to furnish the following documents at the time of application.
What is Prepaid STP?
Prepaid STP is a financial planning tool that allows you to invest when stock prices are low. In exchange for a fee, Edewleiss offers you the service of tripping a trigger that lets you know when the market falls below a point so that you can take advantage of the drop and reap high rewards when the stock market recovers.
1. How do I evaluate the performance of mutual fund schemes?
NAV or Net Asset Value is the value of your investment in a mutual fund at any given time. This value changes daily for equity based and open-ended schemes but is stable for closed schemes and debt heavy schemes. Most Asset Management Companies(AMCs) send you monthly, quarterly, biennial, or annual statements showing the NAV of each mutual fund you hold. You can also find out the NAV at any given point by visiting the website of the AMC. Your broker can also help you find the NAV of any mutual fund.
2. Are mutual funds insured?
There is no insurance or any other guarantee of earning returns or recovering your investment in mutual funds .
3. In case of any unsettled query, how I get my grievances redressed?
You can call the customer care number for any queries you have about your mutual fund. Your offer document contains the names of the AMC manager, directors and other officials. You can contact any of these officials for grievance redressal. If your issue is still unresolved you can contact SEBI (Securities Exchange Board of India) who will intervene on your behalf.
4. I am a small investor; can I invest in mutual funds?
Yes, in fact the very objective of mutual funds is to bring small investors together under a single umbrella and help them get the benefit of volume by pooling their resources. Your AMC will track stock and monitor the market on your behalf and earn the best rate of interest possible on your investment.
