The original name was changed to the First National City Bank of New York and later became Citibank. Citibank provides loans, credit cards, and other lines of credit. Customers can contact the customer care number at 1860 210 2484 or queries related to home loan, status check and eligibility criteria required for a home loan.
Citibank has an efficient customer care system. Their website displays the IVR options in a downloadable PDF file. The call centre is open only between 9 AM to 7 PM Monday through Saturday and is closed on national holidays. The customer care executives are knowledgeable and will provide information regarding the products and services as well as guide you through process such as blocking cards and stopping check payments, and so on.
Citibank offers home loans to individuals who wish to purchase a home. Home loans are also granted for constructing a house on a plot of land which you own. The property purchased or under construction is mortgaged to the bank as collateral against the loan. Once the loan with interest has been repaid in entirety, the property will revert to the owner.
Citibank has many channels of communication by which you can resolve your queries regarding the amount of loan, eligibility, interest rate and so forth. You can also use these channels for grievance redressal. Here is a list –

3. Even if you are merely visiting the site but are not a customer of the bank, you can still leave a message via the Write to us option. This option will take you through a list of choices at the end of which you will have an option to leave a message. Keep any reference numbers handy if you are using this option.
Mobile Banking:
Citibank has a mobile banking app – CitiMobile – that you can download from Google Play or App Store. The app allows you to track your home loan request and know your loan balance, term and other details. You can also get details about other financial and banking products on the app.
Social Media Platform
As with most financial institutions, you can follow Citibank on social media to understand their products and stay updated on new product launches, changes in regulations and so on. You can also post your queries on the bank’s social media page if you wish.
The simplest and fastest way to apply for a Citibank home loan is to visit their official website and fill in the home loan form. An executive will revert with details about your loan. Since the form only asks for preliminary information, the executive may ask you further questions to understand your requirement better.
You can also walk into the Citibank branch in your city / area and fill the application form in person.
Once you have submitted your application, an official will visit the property for verification. You will also need to submit some documents to the bank.
Citibank offers the best possible service to its customers. Even so if you do happen to have a complaint, the bank has a well-organized grievance redressal mechanism to help you.
The first step is to contact their customer care number and register your complaint. You will be given a complaint number which you should preserve for future reference.
Wait for a minimum period of 7 working days – if you call on a Saturday the 10th wait until the 20th (assuming 15th is a national holiday) before you call again.
Follow up with customer care at least once before moving to the next level in case it is merely an administrative glitch.
