Step 2: On the top right-hand side of the homepage, click on the ‘Customer Care’ option.  

Step 3: Click on the choice,‘Show More’ on the ‘Customer Care’ page. Then, from the drop-down option, select ‘Inoperative Account (Over 10 years)’.  

Step 4: Key in your name, address, and captcha code. Then click ‘Submit’.

Procedure to claim SBI Unclaimed Deposits   

  • Individual claim by customer 

Customers can go to the nearest SBI branch and submit a request letter in the prescribed format. They can then submit a valid identity proof, address proof, and most recent photograph. On verifying the same, the branch will render the account operative and enable transactions in the account.  

  • Claim by legal heir or nominee  

The legal heir or nominee may visit the SBI branch and submit the required documents. The customer would have to act in accordance with the claim settlement process set by the bank.  

  • Claim by non-individual 

The customer can fill in the claim form on the letterhead of the company, firm, or institution. It must be duly signed by the authorized signatories. The valid identity proofs and address proofs must be submitted. The customer may also have to submit additional documents asked by the bank.
