Register for SBI Net Banking

SBI account holders can apply for SBI Net Banking online or offline. 

  • For all new accounts, the Branch will provide an Internet Banking Pre-printed Kit, which can be used directly on the Internet banking portal. 
  • Existing customers can create a new Internet banking account using the link for New User Registration. 
  • Existing account holders can also submit a filled-in Online SBI Registration Form.
  • Joint account holders need to visit the bank branch to complete the activation process.

Process for Online Registration on the SBI Net Banking Portal

Step 1: Visit the SBI Net Banking portal and locate the “New User Registration/Activation” link to initiate the activation process.

Step 2: Initiate New User Registration: Select “New User Registration” from the drop-down menu and proceed by clicking “Next”.

Step 3: Fill in the User-Driven Registration for New User:

  • Input your account number exactly as given in your passbook or account statement.
  • Enter the CIF number available in your Passbook/account statement.
  • Enter the branch code details given in your passbook. If you are uncertain about the branch code, use the link "Get Branch Code" to retrieve it based on the branch location and name.
  • Select the country and key in the mobile number registered at your branch.
  • Select the type of Internet banking facility you require: Full access, Limited Transaction Rights, or View Rights.
  • Enter the Captcha code and proceed by clicking "Submit."

Step 4: Enter the OTP received on your SBI account-linked mobile number and confirm.

Step 5: If you have an SBI ATM card, select the option of having an ATM card and proceeding for online e-registration without having to visit a branch.

  • If you do not have an SBI ATM card, select the option of not having an ATM card, in which case you need to visit the SBI branch for activation.

Step 6: The system will display a system-generated username and prompt you to create your new password and enter it once more. This is a temporary password before the account gets approved.

  • Once confirmed, the system will display a confirmation page with a temporary username and Pre-Printed Kit number.
  • The confirmation page will also display a link to download the online registration form which you need to download, print, and submit at the branch.

Step 7: Once the branch approves your Internet banking request, use the username and pre-printed kit number to generate your permanent username and password.
