Here are the steps to link the Aadhaar with NPCI for a bank account.
Step 1: Go to the official website of NPCI
Step 2: Click on the option ‘Aadhaar Seeding Process’
Step 3: Click on the ‘Click Here’ option under the ‘Aadhaar Seeding Process’ option.
Step 4: The Aadhaar seeding form will be shown in a new tab
Step 5: Fill in the form after going through the instructions.
Step 6: Upload a photocopy of both your bank passbook and Aadhaar card.
Step 7: After processing the request successfully, you will get an SMS to notify you of the successful linking of the account. This will be done within two to three working days.

You can verify the status of your NPCI Aadhaar linking to your bank account both online and offline. Here are the steps for checking the status online
Online
Step 1: Go to the official UIDAI portal
Step 2: Click ‘Aadhar Services’ under the ‘My Aadhar’ tab.
Step 3: Click ‘Check Aadhaar/Bank Linking Status’ from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Enter the virtual ID or the Aadhaar number.
Step 5: Enter the captcha code shown on the screen.
Step 6: Click the option ‘Send OTP’ to get the OTP.
Step 7: Click ‘Submit’ after typing in the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
Step 8: You will be redirected to a new page showing the linking status
Here are the steps to check the linking status via offline method, SMS, etc.
Offline
Step 1: Dial *99*99*1# from your registered mobile number
Step 2: Type in the Aadhaar number.
Step 3: To verify the Aadhaar number linked to the bank account, re-type the Aadhar number.
You can also check the status of your NPCI Aadhaar linking to your bank account by visiting the branch of your bank. If the mapping has been done successfully then the status will be displayed as active.
