What is the role of an Aadhaar enrollment center?
The UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has set up several Aadhaar enrollment centers in various parts of the country for the benefit of citizens. Some of these centers are permanent (meaning available round the year), while others are temporary camps (that are available only during specific periods).
Aadhaar Enrollment Centers serve two purposes:
- To register new applicants
- To update changes/make corrections to existing Aadhaar cards
There are plenty of situations where you may have to update demographic details in your card like address, name, date of birth, mobile number, email id and gender. In such cases, you have to visit an Aadhaar enrollment center.
Additionally, when children cross the age of fifteen, they have to get their Aadhaar card updated with biometric details like – iris, fingerprint, etc, requiring a visit to an Aadhaar enrollment center.

How to locate an Aadhaar enrollment center near you?
The UIDAI makes it easy to locate an Aadhaar enrollment center that is convenient for you. First, visit the UIDAI official. Then click on My Aadhaar Get Aadhaar Locate an Aadhaar Enrollment Center
Then, you can search by:

- Or using the search box
Uncheck the “Show centers only at post offices and banks,” to get a list of all centers in your city. Enter the captcha code and click on “Locate a Center.”
What is the information that is collected during Aadhaar enrollment?
During Aadhaar enrollment, the applicant has to provide the following information:

What to do at the Aadhaar enrollment center?
Step 1: Fill in the Details and Submit Biometric and Demographic Data
At the enrolment centre, you need to fill the enrolment form that is available with the enrolment officer. Once you have submitted the form, the officer will take your photo, iris scan, and fingerprint scan as part of the enrolment process. If you are updating your data, then only the data that is changing has to be entered.
Step 2: Verify the Captured Data
Once the enrolment officer finishes typing your information in the system, make sure to review the details – both in English and your local language. If you notice any corrections, make sure to get it corrected during the enrolment process itself.
Step 3: Receive the EID/UID
Once your application is filed, you will receive an acknowledgement slip and an enrolment number (EID). Corrections to your enrolment data can be done within 96 hours of enrolment, by visiting the enrolment centre.

To make any corrections in your existing Aadhaar or to enroll for an Aadhaar, visit an enrollment center near you in Gurgaon and complete the registration process. All Aadhaar enrollment centers are open from Monday to Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm. However, if the center you have chosen is located at a bank, it is not available during bank working hours.
